We compeleted some large segments of physical theatre making on Tuesday and Thursday of last week.
Tuesday - we continued on with the opening scene introducing 'The Arrest'
Thursday - we began a new composition 'The Cathedral' and 'The Parable' (Grace's group)
Now in the full swing of creating you need to revisit the compositions created in class and document them here. Comment on what has been done and what other ideas you have to contribute to the meaning of the entire performance.

well a few weeks ago we added on to the arrest composition which we cleaned up in today's lesson. i think its really good how we have used mutliple K's and then used an individual as K. as a group i think we need to figure out where our audience is going to be positioned as alot of us are wondering how we can move around the space more effectively, otherwise i personally rekon that the arrest sequnce is a very inventive and with a bit more practice it could be a really powerful scene.
ReplyDeleteThe cathedral has become a really fun scene to do. being part of grace's group i think that was she has created is really effective and inventive. its introducing new dialogue which is good as it changes the mood a bit, rather than just having scripted text. we should probably start to practice with the fabric that we plan to use in the beginning of that sequence so we are confident with where its going as the scene progresses, but other than that i rekon this scene is pretty polished.
i think that we all just need to practice and become familiar with what we are doing so we can make this a really good performance.
Dobby,
ReplyDeleteEach week we have built on our performances and added to certain parts of it. Running over the first few scenes yesterday was confusing but interesting to see it all coming together. However, we really need to learn the lines and our movements more efficiantly.. currently its looking a big messy and like we are hesitant to make the move.
We need to be more confident and 'focused' so we can bring more 'energy' to the performance.
I did like graces scene in the Cathedral. The 'tick tock' really adds atmosphere to the over all performance. i like how we were as a group and move into a large ball and then breath. i think that is very effective and demonstrates great physical theatre components. We have to be very aware of our group.. and move together.
after we all come together and practice after school next week i feel that the performance will really start to look good and be effective.
